Wait… together?
Yes, you read it right. Visuals crafted together.
I'm Oona — illustrator, graphic designer and Art Director based in Helsinki, Finland. My work is warm and distinctive, and it's designed to live in the real world: on brand materials, editorial pages, packaging and campaigns.
I currently work as Art Director for Lapsen Maailma magazine, and I've created illustrations and visuals for several organisations ranging from national NGOs to public institutions.
I create visuals in genuine dialogue with my clients. For me, the end result is not just “my work”, but a shared success: your expertise and needs combined with my professional skills and visual thinking.
My background in occupational therapy shapes how I work: I listen, break down complexities, and make visible what we are building together. I don’t defend ideas with ego, but experiment, develop, and guide until the image feels right and serves its purpose.

How does this work?
-
Send me a message or call me - it doesn’t cost a thing (well ok maybe your phone bill). You can reach out with any question in mind of your project. I’m happy to brainstorm with you and give you my professional insight.
-
After you’ve contacted me and told me your needs regarding your project I’ll send you info on how I can resolve your problems and how much that would cost you. It’s ok to ask questions after this too. It’s a phase where we both evaluate that are we a good match or not. And hey, no hard feelings if not! But I have to say I’m kinda fun and really good at what I do, so I prefer you give us a chance.

Yay! We’ve agreed to do this together. That means we’re going to schedule a proper planning meeting where we will go through the brief and working policies and set up a timetable that works for us both. We’ll also agree on a final deadline and schedule check-up meetings if needed.
-
After all this we have the end product in our hands. Now we can just celebrate and be proud of ourselves. We did it! Together! I’ll ask you for some feedback and we can review the process together. Learning is key in everything! I’ll send you a bill after you’ve approved the final work.
